Morhen drive - reading

We designed this home to offer a contemporary character to the spaces. The front of the house is retained almost as existing, with only a few alterations to hint to the contemporary extension at the back to maintain the street character. We created a direct route from the front door to the rear extension as a circulation backbone of the entire house in terms of layout. Flexible, interconnected living spaces can be accessed off this circulation, with the kitchen as a central hub for the house. By using a system of large sliding doors, the kitchen can be opened and enclosed, becoming an entertainment space and effective cooking machinery.
